Eid Trip : Marsa Alam

We had a great time at Marsa Alam last weekend! Twas a 4d3n summer beach vacation. In fact that was our first summer beach experience. Sebelum ni tak pernah (rasanya) melancong ke obesi pada musim panas. Ye lah Malaysia pun dah panas sepanjang tahun kan. So bila merasa actual summer lepastu pergi beach some more memang feeling dia wahhh camni ke haha

The plan was quite last minute. We were contemplating between few tourist spots namely Alexendaria, Fayoum, Luxor, Sharm el Sheikh…. Finally we decided to go for beach vacation as our kids (and us adults) didnt get enough snorkeling back in Hurghada haha. So Marsa Alam it is! Why not Sharm? Coz we dont have proper vehicle so think next time lah if ada rezeki.

Initially we planned for 2nights but last timw at Hurghada twas too short so this time around we add another night. Luckily it was Eid Adha and office close for whole week, yay!

We found a hotel where we can snorkel right from the beach and the coral reef are reachable from sea shore! Alhamdulillah. So no need for boat ride which will burn the the whole day of back and forth to reach the coral reef area (burn pocket too haha). However lesson learned from last trip, we need to bring our own snorkeling gears ie from the right shoes/fins up until life jackets! Tips : you can find almost everything at Decathlon. Seriously. Burn our pockets but inshaallah will minimise the risk of covid (or hygiene) via rental. Well the price was not that bad though, approx EGP2k/pax for full gears – thats RM500/pax. Life jacket, snorkeling gears & proper shoes/fins.

7hrs journey from Cairo to Marsa Alam. Plus minus rnr bagai jadilah 9jam lebih. Kami bertolak lepas late breakfast, right after husband’s 2nd Sinovac dose. 11am departed and arrived hotel at about 7.30pm with 2 stops for solat and makan. We potluck some pasta and i mad rendang w nasi impit hehe fefeeling raya. Oh btw we arrived back in Cairo malam raya ie the whole day of Arafah Day was Marsa Alam – Cairo.

Our hotel named Albatros. The room was nice. Got one king bed and 2 single bed. There was 12 of us and we took 4 rooms. We were upgraded to suite btw. Thats the perk of booking in group i think. We got room next to each other. On average, price per pax is RM500, all inclusive ie with bfast, lunch & dinner! Okla kan utk 4 hari. Plus its 5stars hotel (katanyalah). Mmg kat Malaysia susah nak dpt deal mcm ni. Huhu

Albatros ni ada banyak gila pool. Dari secetek2 sampai la ke 1.5m dalam. Macam2 jenis. Ada yg besar, ada yg betul2 dpn bilkk kami, ada yg berslide, ada yang bergazebo. Best gila ok. Cuma yg lemah nya tmpt makan jauh sikit dari bilik nak kena menapak dan time summer bawak baby lagi la terasa. Sebab tu dok berzikir nak repeat once autumn nanti hehe. Moga ada rezeki amiiin

Covidwise the hotel didnt jaga SOP. Mask pun staff tak pakai. Apatah lagi tourists. Most of the customers are non Egyptians smua mat saleh dari german russia (we think). Masa kitorg baru sampai bermask bagai semua org pandangggg je macam kitorg ni bwk penyakit huhu sabar je la. No mask, no social distancing so pakat jaga diri sendiri je la. Whole time i recited doa wabak moga Allah lindungi kami semua…

Kids had fun in the sun. ‘Aaqil practice with his snorkeling gear even in the pool. He loves snorkeling tak sangka. Good thing that he became brave-er in the water than before. Mana tak nya sepanjang hari dlm air. Ada hari tu dari 8am turun pool. Pastu kuar kejap je lunch tepi pool. Sambung snorkel. Kul 6pm baru masuk bilik. Rentung. Haha.

Me and husband took turn snorkeling as we have babies to take care of. Alhamdulillah right before my turn tu husband found a shop which sells the phone holder utk bwk masuk air tu. So I brought along during snorkeling. Perfect. Cumaaaaa we forgot to bring roti along so ikan2 semua lalu lalang je tak berkumpul pon haha. Tapi seronok je. Sejak time Hurghada tu sis kempunan nak snorkel akhirnya impian tercapai. Tq suami kerana memahamj. Happy wife happy life eh ❤️

Me and kak Ammal tried out their hammam. First time sis try hammam. Paling best jakuzi la. Massage by the arabs. Siap tanya you want soft medium or hard. I chose medium. I dont fancy massage but the areb did great. Tak sakit pon.

Ok think thats all. Nah minilove for you Marsa Alam. Thank you for the memories. Will definitely come again (once I got my 2 doses of vaccines, amiin)… ❤️

Hello Hurghada

Pagi 2 Syawal kami bertolak ke Hurghada, somewhere to the west of Cairo. A city nearby to Red Sea. Ada banyak resort kat situ sebab tourist spot, ala2 PD.

Plan asal nak stay in hotel je. So the day before raya tu pegi shopping board games sebab nak kill the time kat sana. Imagine sure ramai orang sebab tgh cuti raya kan. so better duk dalam bilik je

Sampai sana tgk bilik nya tak brp menarik pulak kalau nak stay in je. Kami ke sini dgn satu family lagi (anak 5) so dia ajak jom la reramai kita pegi boat trip ni ada diving snorkeling island hopping. Ermmm

Okla kitorang pun pegi la usha pakej dia. Murah ok 500LE/pax 9am-4pm incl lunch then dia bg 2 spots utk snorkel and diving. Tanya la jgk psl covid SOp bagai kat staff dia tp jawapan dia “when u hav sun, no covid”. Oooookkaaayyy cukuplah satu soalan memang tau dah camne SOP atas kapal tu. So kalau nak signup memang kena pandai2 jaga social distancing, sanitize etc

Lagi satu kami concern psl bwk baby naik kapal. We did some research kt gugel katanya no problem asalkan makesure jgn lama sgt expose baby to sun (kalau ada indoor, duk dlm je most of the time). Also makesure ada infant size life jacket. Haa yg ni diorg tak sediakan. So memang we toom our risk bringing ‘Atiyyah onboard. Memang doa tak putus sepanjang pergi dan balik.

Apparently all of us enjoyed the trip so much. Husben pun sempat la snorkel tho lepas tu dia mabuk sampai tidooo je x larat.

Paling excited was ‘Aaqil dan Asraf (anak kak Ammal umur 11yo) snorkeling kemain lagi. Geng adult dah naik diorg masih kat dlm laut. Hehe. Yg instructor tu pun happy melayan diorg.

Me ‘Atiyyah and ‘Arfaan spend most of our time indoor je. Alhamdulillah they both behave really well dan takde pun tanda2 mabuk. Syukur sesangat..

Lepastu ada sesi tgk dolfin pulak. Wah eksaited eh memasing. Lama jgk dlm stgh jam tggu kemunculan dolfin. Cuma masa ni ‘Arfaan tidur jadi dia frust bila semua cerita pasal nampak dolfin 🥲

My boys & Laut Merah – hope we can have more trips like this when theyre bigger amiin

Hope next trip ummi pulak boleh turun snorkel hehe. Dan harapnya masa tu dah dpt vaksin so takdelah rasa concious sangat nak pegi tempat mcm ni yg agak byk ‘social contact’ yg kita tak tau diorg nye asal usul dari mana etc huhu…

Hotel ni harga all in dengan food sekali. Bfast till dinner alhamdulillah so takyah nak pk nak keluar cari makanan ke apa. Cuma bilik je tak berapa selesa hhhuhu sebab malam2 byk nyamuk – ‘Arfaan ‘Aaqil jadi mangsa gigitan. Lepastu lock pintu depan tak function. Ada la bbrp yg buat turn off sikit tp hati terubat sebab food all in n view cantik. Gituh

Dinner buffet ada 2 tmpt boleh pilih. So kami pilih kat tepi pool ni sebab kurang sesak and open air

Alhamdulillah atas rezeki staycation ni. Sebenarnya sejak last yr lepas MCO lifted kejap dulu (was it July?) ada plan nak bawa the kids for babymoon (was still pregnant) tapi tangguh2 sampai sarat sampai bz nak pindah ke rumah baru sampai beranak sampai husben pun dah pindah Cairo sampai kami pun dah ke Cairo hehehehe. So rezeki kami staycation cum delayed babymoon (with baby) at far far away land while everyone still wishing to travel overseas we are travelling to the sea 😅🇪🇬

No doubt im quite worry if we are close contact to covid during the trip but Ya Allahu Haafiz, may He protect us all bismillahillazi la yadhurru maasmihi syaiun fil ardhi walamfissamaa’i 🤲🏼

2019 – Hiatus Year

Nak kata writers block tak jugak. Nak kata takde event nak diceritakan rasanya 2019 antara yg paling eventful. Tapi sebab ada sekali tu nak up entry on this blog lepastu error. Dah taip panjang bagai tapi takleh post. Geram. So tak jd post dan sejak drp tu tak jenguk pun blog sendiri. Beberapa bulan lps ada kwn bgtau yg link blog dah takleh pakai. Bila cek mmg betul ada problem dgn domain #facepalm. Nasib baik ada tuan admin 💓 yg tolong betulkan dan akhirnya blog ni ‘dilahirkan’ semula dengan alamat baru hihi

Sepanjang tempoh hiatus saya aktif ber’micro’ blog di instagram sahaja. Instastory to be exact. 2018-2019 has been one of the toughest year for me. Masih berPJJ dgn suami, jaga anak 2org (‘Aaqil baru masuk sekolah dan ‘Arfaan toddlerhood) di tempat baru iaitu Kuching, berjauhan dari family iaitu support system ku. Alhamdulillah kat sana ramai yang membantu terutama kawan2 seofis seapartment. Really miss the moments at Kuching. ‘Aaqil pun selalu ckp rindu kt sana. Maklumlah setahun kat sana Jun 2018-Jul 2019 😌

So entri ni just nak recap momen yang memang takkan dpt dilupakan sepanjang kehiatusan ku dari blog ni ❤️

1. ‘Arfaan masuk emergency beberapa kali kat Kuching. Kalau tak silap sebab demam muntah cirit masa awal2 pindah sana. Kali kedua sebab suspected hfmd. Siap daycare tak terima dia for few days sampai betul2 konfirm bukan bintik hfmd. Kali ketiga pulak sebab ear infection. Yg ni almost 10pm pegi Borneo Hosp naik grab sebab dia takleh tidur tunjuk telinga sakit. Alhamdulillah lepas bg ubat titik n pcm improve sikit. Oh lg sekali tu Influenza A suspect dpt from me yg balik dari China. Including me suffered with Influenza for almost a week suami terpaksa pospon balik KK sebab nak makesure saya betul2 sihat. Phew. Tapi saya suka Normah hosp kat Kuching, staff, nurse dan docs baik2 sgt. Servis pun bagus. Walaupun bangunan luar macam seram sikit he he

2. Eksiden dgn motor kat simpang dkt dgn sekolah ‘Aaqil kat Matang Jaya. Pagi tu dah nak sampai sekolah dah. Memang patut saya masuk simpang tu tapi tiba2 motor ni muncul dari tepi. Bammm!! Masa tu menggigil satu badan dan break kereta mengejut kat tgh2 simpang. Org yg bwk motor tu bangun dan bg sign ajak saya ke tepi jalan sbb kacau trafik. Masa tu ‘Aaqil dah nangis2. Allahu. Lepastu tgk motor tu sidemirror tercabut, dan ada few kerosakan. Motorist tu luka sikit (syukur sgt). Jadi bagitau dia yg saya nak cepat dan takde cash tak sempat nk gi balai bagai so settle kat situ je. Mmg salah dia sebab sepatutnya dia stop sebab kereta semua dah stop. Masa tu just mintak dia hp no sbb nak cepat dan takde cash nak bayar. Dalam whatsapp lepas sampai ofis tu nego2 dan both agree utk byr dia RM200 tak silap kaver motor dia rosak tu. Tu je dan syukur sangat dia tak berkira dan kes setel. Oh my persona calar sikit je takde apa.

3. Lagi sekali eksiden tapi ni sebab ‘Aaqil terlupa nak pakai seatbelt kt booster. Dia tertidur. Dan ada satu simpang kat Wisma Satok tak silap ada kereta tetiba lalu kat tepi dan saya emergency break tetiba bunyi bamm!! Saya pusing belakang tgk ‘Aaqil dah takde kat booster. Pastu panggil dia dan dia terjaga dan nangis sambil duduk kat seat tgh sambil saya gosok kepala dia. Pastu nampak darah! Kepala dia berdarah. Basah. Saya menggigil dan mintak dia nangis je jangan berhenti sebab risau dia pengsan or pitam. Terus set waze pergi hospital. Dalam 5mins sampai emergency. Park je dpn entrance dan dukung ‘Arfaan, sambil papah ‘Aaqil masuk dalam. Tanganku masa tu berdarah. Tak meleleh la tapi. Staff Normah terus sambut dan bwk ‘Aaqil masuk emergency. Sambil reg. Tak silap staff Normah yg tolong park kan kereta. Baik sgt diorang.

One for the memories. Alhamdulillah luka sikit je tak perlu jahit. Mebi terhantuk kt belakang driver seat ada besi.

Yang agak drama lagi sebab terjadi masa ptg Jumaat otw nak balik rumah sebab nak ambil beg dan bersiap nak naik flite ke KL. Ahad tu was my flite to China for meeting with my project managers. Memang masa dekat emergency tu dah fikir tiket China tu burn. Tapi alhamdulillah cuma tiket balik KL je burn. Dan beli baru esoknya Sabtu pagi KCH-KL. Alhamdulillah malam hari eksiden tu ‘Aaqil dah ok takde pening atau muntah. Boleh makan dan main mcm biasa. Sebab tu decide utk proceed dgn KL and China. Kalau dia masih trauma ke memang kensel la semua trip huhu… what a day!

4. ‘Arfaan weaned off masa Ramadhan 2019. Pakai trick limau nipis jugak mcm masa ‘Aaqil. Sebab masa outstation sampai beberapa malam tak jumpa tu susu pun drop. Kebetulan ‘Arfaan pun dah lebih 2tahun pun bf. Cuma hmm ‘Arfaan ni berminggu2 nak settle down without bfeed masa mlm nak tidur. Kena dodoi dukung sejam ke 2jam tiap malam baru lena. Tiap pagi ummi zombie mode. Siang kt nurseri dia ok je sebab mmg bg freshmilk.

5. Lagi insiden pasal kereta. Haha. Kereta habis minyak tengah jalan! Masa tu otw pegi ofis pagi2 lepas hantar the kids. Memang habit suka sgt dah kuar lampu merah masih tangguh isi minyak. Sekaliiii tak sempat nak sampai petrol station yg ada dlm kurang 1km lagi. Tetiba enjin mati. Dah la tengah jem kat roundabout Semariang tu. Tambah lg jem adeh. Kebetulan kereta mati betul2 seberang dengan stesen Petronas. So lock kereta dan pergi sana dan bgtau budak Petronas tu nak kena isi minyak manual. Baik adik tu. Dia bg tips beli air mineral yg 1.5l tu 2 botol dan buang isi, pastu dia tolong isi botol2 tu ngan minyak petrol. Pastu siap tny dia lepastu dik?? Haha. Oklah jom saya tolong kakak. Kami pun ke kereta dan dia tolong isi minyak manually dan pump kat pedal tu stat enjin beberapa kali sampai berjaya stat engine. Dkt 10mins jgk try pump minyak sebab dah kering kontang kan 😝Alhamdulillah sebab sentiasa temukan dgn manusia yg baik2 kt sana. Lepas tu mmg kalau nampak kereta tinggal satu senggat menggagau cari stesen minyak. Lesson learned.

6. Akhirnya kami duduk sebumbung sekali masa Jul 2019 sebab encik suami finally back to KL ofis dan kami pun balik KL lepas raya bila dah settle loadout. Alhamdulillah. Sejak 2012 berPJJ. Dapatlah ke ofis sekali, dinner sekali, weekend pun dah tak perlu berkejar ke airport like for the past few years. Beberapa hari juga settle kan barang shipping dari rumah KK dan Kuching. Back to home sweet home in Setapak.

Puas lah anak2 merasa naik aeroplane sepanjang duk Kuching alhamdulillah. Masa ada sekali outstation kat France tu (Oct 2018), merasa bwk husben n anak2 join the trip. Kebetulan dpt trip yg layover Dubai lama sikit sempat pergi tgk Burj AlArab dan Burj Khalifa. Extend sehari lajak ke Paris lepas settle kerja kat Lyon. Ni semua in between Kuching-KK-KL huhu. Alhamdulillah anak2 sihat dan senang dijaga tak byk masalah. Oh ‘Arfaan pun merasa tumpang sekaki naik biz class ngan ummi sebab dia masa tu infant lagi. Amboi sangat kan. Hehe

Semua tu akan jadi segar dan kekal dalam lipatan memori. Allah susun semuanya dengan tepat dan berhikmah.

HK Winter Trip 2017

So we went to HK again last Dec. This time around with our kids. Haha! Our first time in HK was waaay back in 2010, feel free to korek old entries ;p

So some fun facts that I just jot down here for memories sake ?❤️

1. It was crazy peak at HK on year end. We had bad experience with small sqft hotel during our trip 7yrs ago. So this time around, to find a big hotel with reasonable rate with strategic location was super impossible. I was incharged for accommodation so I refresh agoda/airbnb/bookingcom younameit every single hour of the day haha. Generally the hotel at HK is less than 20msq. Finally we (well, I??) found an apartment in Central HK! Only 5mins walk to MTR, got kitchen, king bed, small hall and its 80msq!!! WIN! Siap ada laundry area. We stayed there for 5nights! The kids were beyond happy sebab tiap hari dpt berendam dalam bath tub dia haha

2. So sebab dah ada dapur, I usung la periuk dan bahan masak semua hehe. Bawang besar, potato, santan, kunyit, minyak, garam, beras, rempah sup, perencah tomyam. Sambal kering. Megi. Brahims. Roti. Semua sikit2. Nearby the apartment there were few grocery stores so we stocked up eggs, mineral water(utk masak jgk) and dishwasher. Kena kreatif la bila masak di perantauan with limited ingredients haha. So boleh masak nasi goreng, nasi lemak, scramble egg, french toast, nasi putih makan ngan lauk brahims. Asalkan perut kenyang anak2 tak meragam hehe

3. Since we stayed for 8days and to move around HK only took less than one hour so we were not on musafir mode. We rearrange our iteneraries to suit the timing for prayers. So we managed to visit all 3 mosques in HK! One in Kowloon and 2 in Central 🙂 Alhamdulillah such a blessing. One of the mosque even has a canteen which serve halal chinese food and dimsum! Score! You can also easily find a room/space to perform your solat at any tourist spots. Just ask around they’ll help you. HK is so muslim friendly now ❤️

4. We didnt remember that HK is an expensive city. High cost of living! Perhaps coz it was just 2 of us 7yrs ago lol. Imagine naik taxi starting HK24 which is equivalent to RM12! And it’s roughly HK10/km. And meal is around HK70/pax. Haha koyak poket tiap hari makan luar 3x. Sebabtu disarankan at least masak sekali sehari huhu. Pisang pun HK5/pc kahkah

5. Disneyland is wayyyyyy better than before. Got 3 halal restaurants. Got prayer room with propoer wudhu’ area. Got Return Pass means parents boleh gilir naik ride sambil sorang lg jaga anak takyah q lagi sekali cool gila. Got additional 2 lands ie Toy Story land and Grizzly Gulch. So memang tak sempat kaver semua for 12hrs hehhe. Mana dgn anak2 nak susu nak makan nak berak nak tidur. Tapi alhamdulillah sebab kitorg stay dkt Disney Hollywood Hotel so ada free shuttle dan ada free 2 fastpass! Memang ‘aaqil enjoy sesangat. ‘Arfaan pun siap naik 2 rides. Tapi yang kelakar gila i told my husband ada 4 syarat sah Disneyland kita tak buat; amik gambar dgn castle(sedar2 dah malam), amik gambar dgn Disney characters (sbb tak jmp pon), tgk Disney parade (sbb lapar so makan adalah prioriti haha) dan paling takleh blah adalah TAK TENGOK FIREWORKS (sebab tersekat dlm crowd dan end up duk belakang pokok besar.nmpk sayup2 je). Oh btw ‘Aaqil naik Space Mountain rollercoaster lepastu masa dah habis dia nangis sebab takut sangat hahaha. Sian tapi pastu dia just laugh it off bila kitorg ulang cite pasal tu ?

6. Dua benda yang kitorang tak rekemen adalah Ocean Park dan BigBus unless you spend the whole day from morning to night just utk dua2 tu. Ocean Park really hugeeeee. And sooo many pipollll. Dan park ni ramai warga emas compared ngan families dunno y ? Yang Big Bus tu pulak they dont have dedicated bus stop sign so few times we were like running around tahan bas and last sekali give up so kitorg menapak je balik. Burn tambang tu sbb kitorang naik sekejap je

7. For those who plan to go HK with kids, I recommend you to go to The Peak, Sky428, Sky100, Disneyland, Ngong Ping and JANGAN PERGI MASA YEAR END HOLIDAY if you dont like crowd. If you have limited time, stay at Disney hotel 2 nights, then at Tsim Sha Tsui (strategic sbb senang halal food and nak cross to pulau via ferry) another 2 nights. Cukup 5hari 4malam tapi mmg pack. Kalau nak leisure kena stretch sikit timing tu jadi 6malam ke cemtew

8. We bought almost all tickets through Klook.com their price was a bargain with additional discounts. We even bought Octopus card(macam touch and go) , food coupons for Disneyland from that apps. Really convenient. If you plan to move around a lot using public transport, please buy the Octopus almost similar function as Oyster at London. You can actually use it to ride MTR, busses around the city, tram and even to buy popcorn at Ocean Park haha. Buy the Octopus tourist pass so that you can get back full remaining balance of your card upon returning the card. Kalau normal pass (for locals) they’ll charge you HK10 tak silap bila pulangkan card. Kitorang pulangkan Octopus kat airport lepas check in flite back to KL, duit balance Octopus tu cukuplah nak lapik perut kat Popeye’s (HALAL!) kt HKIA tuh. Hehe. Balance HK2 je balik Msia punya lah pandai spend duit kan ngam ngam soi ??

9. The weather was sooooo nice and breezy. Takde hujan pun alhamdulillah. Siang dlm 19c, malam dlm 13c kot. The kids mmg pakaikan long sleeve dan backup cardigan. I didnt wear any sweaters sbb boleh je tahan sejuk tu. Sejenis kulit tebal (baca : lemak tepu) kahkah. Dan syukur alhamdulillah the kids well fed, tak cranky dan sihat sepanjang trip. Cuma ‘Aaqil la kalau tak larat jalan then dia naik stroller n husband kena pakai sling bawak ‘Arfaan.

10. So funny because we both contemplating to do IG story. Dua2 takmau. Update blog punyalah dragging malas. Husband rajin tolong update kat IG maceh yangggg. Btw entri ni taip sejak 3 hari lepas ni baru nak conclude. Faktor usia mungkin.Haha.Ok next entri inshaallah nak tepek random pictures 🙂 staytuned!

Sunday Adventure

So we came to our last Sunday in KK. Huhu. Means next Sunday we’ll be in KL and it’ll be my last Sunday before I go back to office. Phew. 3 months vacation almost over. Sigh sigh.

So as promised by mr husband, we went to Rumah Terbalik. Sebenarnya boleh je nak singgah otw ke Kundasang dulu tapi tak sempat. Kat sini jugak ada 3D Museum. Tiket utk masuk both dlm RM30/adult.

Bertolak dari rumah pun lepas Zuhr. Sebab kepenatan (ke?) sports event tadika ‘Aaqil the day before. Lepastu ‘Arfaan macam meragam sikit sebab tak yakyak dah lebih sehari. Hadui

Sampai dlm kul 2pm. Siap2 bf and tukar diapers ‘Arfaan dalam kereta. Baby selesa, tak cranky, kita pun selesa n tak risau nak berjalan. Tempat public biasanya tak baby friendly so mmg kereta je la tempat paling selesa. Siap ekon lagi ?

Rumah Terbalik

Sebenarnya rumah ni kecil je. Ada 2 bilik, 1 toilet, dapur, hall, beranda. Tour pun tak sampai setengah jam. Sebab tak dibenarkan ambil gambar kat dalam tu. ‘Aaqil la teruja sebab kipas kat lantai, mesin basuh kat bumbung etcetc haha

Masuk ikut pintu kanan tu, dan keluar kat pintu kiri. Kejap je. Tapi kat luar tu ada tempat bergambar macam kat bawah ni…
‘Aaqil eksaited nak tengok hasil posing dia. Jadi spiderman. Hhehehe. Tu yg ikut je org suh pose gitu gini.

3D Museum

Ni yang paling ‘Aaqil suka. Semua dia nak try posing. Rasa kelakar pun ada tgk dia excited semacam. Lepas amik gambar terus dia nak tgk…”wah macam betul la ummi!” Haha alahai anakku…

Balik tu asik berzikir nak pergi lagi sini best sangat. Sama best mcm Legoland. Hah gitu ??

Alhamdulillah anak ummi happy. ‘Arfaan pulak tidooooooooooooooooo je. Tak meragam lansung. Goodboy sangat. Walaupun cuaca panas litlit hari tu huhu…

Jambatan Tamparuli

Lepas solat ‘Asar, kitorang pi cari Jambatan Tamparuli pulak. Dalam 5-10mins je dari Rumah Terbalik. Kebetulan elok kitorang sampai tu dah redup2 nak sunset. So husben pun apalagi terbangkan la drone kesayangan…

The view was magnificent subhanallah… These are all #nofilter pictures. Only using my phone…‘Aaqil mula2 excited nak naik jambatan tak takut la apa la. Tapi bila jambatan dah mula mendaki dan dia rasa bergoyang2, terus nangis dan mintak nak dukung. Alahai. ‘Arfaan sambung tidur zzzzzzz ?. Jangan risau jambatan sangat kukuh walaupun bergoyang. Siap ada jaring kat bawah kalau2 ada barang jatuh.

We spent almost half an hour up there. Tak jalan sampai hujung pun sebab memang nak tgk view je. Panjang jambatan ni lebih kurang 100mtr. Hujung lagi satu tu ada pekan Tamparuli. Mula2 ingat nak park sana. Tapi byk anjing berkeliaran so better not.

Kokol Hill

Kalau ke KK atau Sabah, orang tak akan miss pergi Kundasang. Tapi (rasanya) ramai yang taktau kewujudan Bukit Kokol ni. Infact, kalau uols nak jalan2 KK tapi masa terhad, tak dapat pergi Kundasang, boleh ganti naik bukit Kokol.

Sebab?

View yg cantik. Boleh nampak both view Kota Kinabalu dan Gunung Kinabalu.
Hanya 30km je dari KK city centre incl 10km jalan daki bukit
Ada resort yg sangat cantik dan selesa
Udara nyaman dan dingin

Walaupun takde kandang lembu dan ladang teh/strawberi mcm Kundasang, tapi oklah kan daripada takde. Kalau limited masa kat KK mmg elok naik bukit Kokol je. Half day boleh balik dah hehe

Tapi kami overnight kat resort atas ni namanya Kokol Haven Resort. So naisss

Our room comes w free breakfast for 2 ? Tapi bukan buffet style. Made to order w few selectionsNi pulak dinner. Not inclusive tapi ok la. A bit pricey tho. Tapi sebab takde restoran lain dan malas nak drive mencari so settle mkn kat resort je.Staf resort ni cakap bilik Pibabasan ni yang paling cantik kalau nak tgk sunset. Plus ni corner room. Masa kitorang booking, mmg terus cakap nak bilik ni sbb colleague husben rekemen. So kalau uols nak gi, cakap nak bilik Pibabasan, 3rd floor Main Resort. Husben siap main drone dia kat balcony tu sempena sunset.Ni view bandar Kota Kinabalu. Baru lepas hujan lebat. Jap lagi baru matahari keluar dari awan kemudian terbenam ?☀️ bangunan kanan tu adalah Rose Villa. Boleh tgk rate dia kat website Kokol Haven Resort.See through toilet. Just we like it. Haha tipu. Nasib baik ada blind utk kaver lolThe spacious room! Kalau anak ramai pun boleh amik bilik ni cuma kena topup mattress…The other side of the room. Feeling2 sangat bilik ni tau.
Yang takleh lupa adalah drama masa mandikan ‘Arfaan. Sebab takde bathtub. Sinki pulak kecik. So berpindah2 dari sink ke shower. Lepastu ekjas air panas tak dpt2 jadikan suam. ‘Arfaan nangis teruk sgt sampai satu tahap tu dia sejuk sgt kot sampai terjegil mata dia nangis high pitch. Ya Allah masa tu lemah smgt ummi. Terus balut ngan towel and pakaikam baju. Lepas dah pakai baju semua dia senyum2 rasa lega gila. Adoi.

Pastu time 2d1n ni la ‘Aaqil sakit gigi, ‘Arfaan 2hari tak yakyak, walid sakit perut berangin. Nasib baik tiga2 mild je taklah sampai kena gi klinik. Balik tu barulah semua sakit settle. Apakah?

Oh ya, kalau nak masuk resort utk tgk pemandangan je kena fee RM10/adult. Tapi kalau stay sini tak perlu byr entrance fee. So jangan lupa ok masukkan bukit Kokol dalam itenerari anda! #iklantakberbayar

Jalan Sulaman

Kalau datang KK jangan lupa masukkan dlm itenerari sesi makan2. Hehe. Kata orang sini seafood sedap dan murah. Tapi entri ni saya nak share apa yg anda boleh jumpa di Jalan Sulaman, Tuaran.

Sepanjang Jalan Sulaman ni, ada berderet gerai yg jual Lokan Panggang! Ada la dalam berbelas2 gerai. Menu sama je. Lokan panggang, air kelapa bakar, puding kelapa, jagung bakar. Sesuai gi waktu petang sebab tak byk jual menu berat2 kalu nak mkn lunch etc. Kitorg gi pun kul 2-3pm cmtu.

Lokan ni dijual dlm 3 saiz ie kecil, sederhana, besar. Bukan saiz lokan tapi bilangan yg byk ke sikit. Aritu kami 4 beranak order, 2 set lokan panggang – satu M, satu L. Hehe. Dihidang dengan sos cili spesel. Rasa lokan ni lebih kurang macam kerang dan seangkatannya.emmm dappp

Mula2 order sederhana je. Lepas habis tu, order saiz besar pulak. Ni saiz sederhana ada dlm 25pcs kot rm18.All 4 of us. Alahai senyum tu padahal peluh macam air terjun panas sangat hari tu sebab elok kitorg balik je hujan lebat sesangat!

Lepastu air kelapa muda rasa biasa je mcm dijual kat mana2. Yg istimewa nya adalah air kelapa bakar. Kelapa muda dibakar sampai hitam belah luar. Sedap sangat air kelapa suam2 rasa lemak2 mcm santan sikit. Taktau camne nak explen tapi memang sedap bila air tu lalu kat tekak. Hehe

Pastu ‘Aaqil makan puding kelapa dlm cawan dgn mee goreng. Lapar ye anakku.

Last but not least yg paling faveret ku antara semua adalah puding kelapa dalam kelapa! Sedap sangat! Tgh panas makan jelly tu sejuk2. Harga RM5 utk mcm ni. Yg biasa harga separuh.

Total makan santai2 camni dlm rm50+ tak silap. Lokan tu saje RM30 kot. Tapi berbaloi la sedap susah nak jumpa (ke?).

So kalau uols mai KK sewa keta pastu dtg sini ok. Taxi or uber takut tak berbaloi lak sebab stgh jam jgk dari KK city. Kalu sewa kereta bolehlah lajak pergi tempat lain makan seafood ke tgk sunset ke gi Imago ke heheh…

Hello KK!

So here we are in KK. Short ‘vacation’ before I go back to the office. Post confinement I have another 1.5months so why not we follow walid to KK kan haha. Kuasser mak nak duk KL sorang2.

Its also ‘Arfaan’s new experience of jetsetting! I mean, on a flight. Duh. And ‘Aaqil’s hundreds times (ok tipu tapi lucky u son kecik2 dah merata). He was only 44days young ?

The advantage of KK-KL-KK every weekend, husband is now a GOLD Enrich member. So we got to enjoy golden lounge every trip ? Free fooooooood and of course, comfort while waiting to board. Alhamdulillah…‘Arfaan sleeping with walid while ummi having lunch. ‘Aaqil flying like a pro ? doing his own thanggg hihiNow back to ummi so that walid can have his lunch pulak. Gitu lah bila tak dpt seat bassinet. Huhu. Baju dah bertukar sebab baju tadi kena yakyak bocor aduiHello Kota Kinabalu we are so ready for you!!! ?❤

I’ll resume to work early May so end of this month we’ll be back in KL. ‘Aaqil on the other hand having tough time to understand this – there’ll be only me, him and adik in KL and walid still in KK after this. Well he enjoys this phase (all 4ofus together) very much. I hope he’ll understand. Soon.

Memorable Melaka

On our way back to KL from JB last month we had a little detour to Melaka. Hanis Zalikha to be blamed. I watched her (son’s) reality show the other day and they had this roadtrip to Melaka just to find foodsss. She was 39wks pregnant during the shoot. While i was 34wks masa masuk Melaka tu he he

We checked out at 12noon so when we reached Melaka it was just in time for a late lunch. Masa tu dalam 3pm kot. So our first destination was of course the famous Ee Ji Ban Chicken Rice Ball!

Punyalah susah nak dapat parking memula tu. So my husband dropped me first to find meja for us. Around 15mins baru dapat meja phew. So many ppl i tell youuu.

We ordered their chicken rice balls (1 set 10pcs, RM3). But nasi for aaqil. Half chicken. Kailan goreng. Fishball soup. Nyonya petai squid goreng garam (mcm sambal gitu). Sedapppnya. Especially the rice balls. Aaqil last2 paw ktorg punya hihi. So we ordered another 10pcs ?

The price was a bit on the high side because half chicken is the minimum order. If not, we cant dine in (as pasted on their wall). So if you go in a group of 4 adults, the portion would be just nice.

Dengan kekenyangan, we cont our journey to search for the Kuih Keria Gula Melaka! THE keria. Hehe. The stall was only less than 15mins journey from the chicken rice shop. When we reached there, there was around 40ppl queueing, but the keria was not there LOL! I guess theyre all waiting for the next batch of keria to arrive. So we parked our car, grab an umbrella (it was scorching hawtt) and joined the long q. Since the q was not moving so my husband and aaqil went for zohor+asar at the nearby masjid.

….10 minutes later, the ‘staff’ came with packs of keria. There were at least 20packs kot. The first few ppl in the q bought one-five packs each haha. Memang tgk situasi tu akakkk konfirm takde rejeki nak makan keria viral. Even the q was not moving. Yet.

Then one hamba allah, a young lady, approached me and hand me over a piece of keria that she managed to grab. She said “awk ambiklah saya bagi free. At least tau rasa dia. Takut tak sampai turn awk…” All eyes were on me. Refused to take the keria at first but looking at her face, she was really sincere. So peganglah seketul keria kat tangan kanan, kiri pegang payung. Hehe

Few minutes later, a young man approached me and hand me over 2 packs of keria!!!! Of course I refused! He insisted. Ok how should i react to this. So i asked him “err berapa ringgit ni ya..byk sangat ni” “eh takpelah kak. Isteri saya pun mengandung ni saya beli utk dia jadi saya beli utk akak jugak”………

Speechless. Allah bless these generous and thoughtful ppl. May Allah grant them more rezeki…

So i walked away from the q with most of the eyes were on me. I was stunned with the generosity ?

We enjoyed the keria so much that we almost finished the whole packs (20pcs) in less than an hour! Considering our tummy full masa tu LOL. The keria were soooooooooooo goooooooddddd alhamdulillah …

We reached KL almost maghrib, mandi solat and out for coin laundry&light dinner hehe. No klebang coconut shake but thats okay. Next pregnancy lah cemtuw ??

2016 Rolla Costah

cant believe its already the last day of 2016! I’d say this year flies so fast u have no idea. So many ups and downs, dreams shattered, plans gone haywired, unexpected gift and surprisingly we managed to go through this year phewwww*lap peluh* … syukur ke hadrat ilahi

Familyplanning-wise, I can still remember we (our little family) started the year with high hope that my husband will demob to KL from Ashgabat for good in Feb; after been let down for few months, as promised by HR…since early 2015 mind u ;( So we braved few more weeks to Feb 2016. I even have my calendar being strikes out day by day, countdownla kunun.

Come Feb, we got another news. All mob-demob of personnel kena freeze due to restructuring exercise throughout the company. Not only we were upset with the postponement, but with the not-so-happy rumors on salary cutting la, vss la, downsizing la etc. Feb was an emotional month for both our careers and family planning. I was sooooo overwhelmed with so many things in my head that i decided to leave Facebook (until today alhamdulillah still sober lol). Deleted fb from my phone. Thats what i did. Walaupun ekceli takde kena mengena pun dengan re-org tu. Kebetulan je. Hehe. Just so happen that i want to clear up my mind (fb ni kadang semak especially bila ada benda viral dan it occupies my mind yg tgh semak masa tu hihi).

So yeah dari Feb pospon ke Mac. And finallyyyyyyy 19th March my husband finally back in KL like finally. 3x finally tu haha. Kurang beberapa hari je tu genap 4 tahun bermastautin di bumi Turkmenistan huhu. No doubt the country has been good to us, the memories we will forever cherish in our life ❤️

Not even 2 weeks we celebrated his homecoming, the company was vss-ing ppl, moving the staff, trasfer sana transfer sini. Then we heard rumors that my husband’s name was NOT in KL. Say whatttt. I even have the possibility to be transferred outside KL. What will happen to all our 2016 plans and dreams and —–

30th of March, at our airbnb stay in the middle of Tokyo city, we braved ourselves with the news…ie reading his letter of transfer to *drumrolls* Sabah operations. It was such an emotional night for both of us. Terus pk Aaqil camne, i camne, dia camne…after so many yrs being apart…then this happens.

It took us few hours to finally fall asleep and decided to sleep on it haha. Pagi tu macam2 idea keluar – sambil nak bersiap ke Disneyland. Can u imagine our mix of emotions at that time. We were on vacation and dealing w not so good news at the same time. My husband tried his luck to delay the date of mob to Sabah. Pujuk bos la. Riki HR la. But little that we know that not only us facing the sudden news. Some of our close friends been offered w vss. Some others went through the same ordeal as us, ie LDR and most of em w small kids. Alhamdulillah it took us less than a day to actually digest this news and redha. Acceptance is hard but thats the only option we have. And make the best of it. Alhamdulillah im still at KL office so its just back to square one. Cuma i no longer stay w my parents that is. New challenge tu.

Financial-wise, it has been one of the most challenging year. Firstly, we no longer enjoy the international allowance that we hav since 2012. Now we are quite tight up with this ‘new arrangement’ ie we have to impulsely buy a 2nd car, new furnitures for the house at Sabah, monthly rental n expenses, AND the weekly flight ticket KK-KL-KK. Quite a big chunks of RM there. Aaqil was not happy with walid only around during weekends. But thats the best arrangement we can make for him so that it wont be the same as walid-kat-Ashgabat. Inshaallah duit flight tu berbaloi. Nak kira brp habis mmg nangis tapi life goes on. Ini bahagian kami…❤️ at least husben kat kk. Ada kawan tu wife kat bintulu, dia kat kl. Anak 2org kecik2 lg. Bintulu tu ada satu je kot flite pegi balik kl tiap hari. So my fren jaga si kakak, wife jaga baby. Cant imagine of we were in their shoes… Allah uji ikut kemampuan hambaNya…

Despite that,

Allah granted our du’a in front of Kaabah, at haramain, in Raudhah, ie to conceive again. Alhamdulillah. 2 months after my husband transferred to Sabah, we received this big-beyond-happiness news. Allah Maha Kaya. Allah Maha Adil. With me alone w Aaqil and this lil bub inside me, i know that if He get us to this, He will get us through this. My pregnancy so far alhamdulillah no complications. Allah blessed me with energy and redha and sabar. He knows my limit. Ada sorang kawan cakap, bila diuji macam ni, barulah kita rasa sangat pergantungan kita hanya pada Allah, bukan pd manusia…so true!!??

And the pregnancy just became the highlight of my year. All the tears and frustrations during the first quarter of the year seems nothing. Allah is the best planner. He wont give us all. He leave us with a tiny ongoing ujian so that we keep on remember Him. Syukur…

Oh so THAT ??? my fellow readers, are my 2016 roller coaster ride highlights he he. Other than that, in random..

1. We went to Japan(woot!) during sakura blooming – spring in March. Japan is just uhmaaazinggg. We wish to comeback someday he he. Mahal naw naw so kena tunggu tabung Aaqil penuh. Eh ??

2. I dunno how this made to the list but looking at the no of purple boxes growing giv me somewhat therapy hihi. Yes I got dUCk-ed. Like a pregnancy hormones or something. Frankly i’ve once condemned the brand for putting ridiculos price on a scarf. Tapi tak tahan beb. Especially bila tgk cite Love Vivy. Baby nak jgk lol salahkan baby. My fav would be the PB satin silk. N those georgettes. Chiffons pun best. Pendek je la ducktower tu compare ngan hardcore duckies hehe. My next target is their #worldmapduck. Moga berjaya dalam battle itteww?? If u nak try ducks tapi xmo spend too much you can go to ig #duckscarvestoletgo and buy the preloved ones w cheaper price. Tapi premium basics je la. Yg limited ed macam bloomingduck tu harga makin naik adalah sampai almost rm1k selai. Hehe

3. Aaqil been rushed to emergency due to high fever TWICE! Within less than 2mths gap. Sekali bln puasa, lg sekali cuti merdeka. Luckily nothing serious. Only infection so after few hrs under close monitoring he was discharged. And both happened during weekdays so husband wasnt around. Alhamdulillah my dad and lil sister were available to accompany us during those hard times. My family is definitely my strengths.

4. Trip to KK and Kundasang for a week. So happen that Aaqil’s school was closed for whole week during EidAdha+Hari Malaysia so i took leave and spend a week there. Supposed to blog about this but so malas. Later i pwomise.

5. Aaqil needs to wear glasses! I was quite upset when his specialist revealed to us the news. I was in denial. He’s supposed to start wearing ’em in Aug. But i just ignore the prescription letter by the doctor. Suami pun xmo paksa nnt mak buyung marahh hihi. Until in Nov if im not mistaken, I finally told my husband ok lets do this. Power dia tak tinggi sgt pun dlm 75 gtu je. Tapi silau tinggi. We also dont want his squint eyes to recur. We went high and low looking for the most suitable glasses for his age. Yelah budak2 kan lasak, belum pandai jaga barang etc. So MIRAFLEX is the best brand in town. Very practical and comfortable for kids. The frames are made of rubber, comes w more than 20 colors! Cantikk. Cuma downside dia adalah tak byk kedai ada brand ni. We finally found his glasses at a very small optical store at Mydin PV12. So far dah pakai dekat 3wks and he seems okay with it alhamdulillah

6. One of the sweetest memory for 2016 was ; Aaqil received an award for Best Khalifah in his class during Ihtifal ceremony! Alhamdulillah. Also he is now able to read in Malay. He just started ReadEasy for english few months back. We are forever proud of him regardless. May he continues to excel in both academic n akhlak n a better muslim for sure. Amiin

7. Recently we went for our babymoon(nak jugak) cum roadtrip cum LegoLand trip for year end vacation! SO.MUCH.FUN… Coz we also cramped in our iteneraries with jjcm at JB and Melaka. Bestttt! Later jugak i blog if rajin hihehu
